When I turned 50, as a part of my birthday present, my husband convinced me to work with a trainer. I had worked out quite a bit in the 80's and then came the family and children. Now here I was at 50 and the kids were finishing college or getting married. This was the time to create time for myself. The only hobby I had was family, so the gym became my new hobby.

At this time in my life I had undergone two knee surgeries and had other various issues with my muscles and joints (who doesn't at 50, right?). I was told that the next surgery would be a knee replacement if I didn't change something. With the support of my family I hired a trainer, and I count my blessings that it was Jay Morton. During the first year weight loss was part of the program, but not the focus. I was getting my entire body moving again and I was learning a lot. There were many challenges along the way, but I never let obstacles get in the way of my fitness goals.

Jay and I track my food, we meet weekly, and I have lost over 35 lbs! It is so worth it and it reminds me that my goal is not to slide back, but to keep moving forward and maintain what I have worked so hard for the past few years!

I feel better than ever and want to thank my trainer Jay!
